This Brushed Mink Top is a sumptuous experience for advanced spinners. It is a short staple fiber, and has characteristics that are similar to angora, but softer and finer. This is a humane option to enjoy mink, as the fiber sheds naturally from the Mink and it is collected by brushing 2-3 times per year. Treat yourself to this fabulous fiber.
This natural top is a cream color; it is a standard color by The Fiberists and is available for on demand ordering. Due to the rarity of this fiber, quantities may be limited. Colors may vary from what they appear on your screen, dark tones may appear darker and blacker on your screen.
Finished items created from this top are recommended hand wash only. Since this top is 100% Mink it can not tolerate agitation while wet without felting. The Fiberists recommend all projects be hand washed in cold water to ensure longevity.
